1956 Buick Dealership Building Layout Guide
In 1956 my father had a small Buick dealership in Blackwell, OK (Ed Haynes Buick) while I was in junior high school. His twin brother also had a larger Buick dealership, Haynes Motor Co., in Plainview, TX which they had originally jointly founded and owned. Also, my uncle, Walter E. Haynes, had started an irrigation company, Haynes Machinery Co, also in Plainview, which is of related interest because it used Buick straight-eight engines for powering the Byron Jackson irrigation pumps as a set. Later when I was in high school I had my own 1956 Buick Century convertible (Model 66C) with Buick wire wheels (a la the Buick Skylark).
