In the forword, Buick wrote: “The purpose of this manual is to furnish authorized personnel with a detailed account of proposed engineering features and changes as soon as possible after the release date. Photographs, drawings, charts, and graphs are provided wherever necessary to aid the reader in attaining a thorough understanding of the new designs.” So only a few persons were lucky to receive this book.
