These books are very rare. In most cases each dealership got only one. They usually threw it away with the model change. That makes this book very rare and desirable. If you ever see one for sale, you better step in – or wait a few years!
This particular book is all original.
There are two batches of interior samples. One for bolster and one for seat material. The binder is detached from the book. There is a trim chart showing all interior trim combination and indicates the used trim material (and the number of sample material). With this info you can easily see how a 1955 Buick same from the factory. This book is the only original source of authentic information of interior samples!
The lower section of the book carries two batches of exterior color / paint samples. At the bottom of it are car overlay made of plastic. These are in very bad shape and cannot be used (see last two pictures). This book also has the additional samples which has been updated by the original salesman.
The 1955 Buick Colors & Fabrics Book is a must have item for every serious collector or owner to show a little history at car shows.
