13-1 LIFTING EQUIPMENT
The lifting procedures developed for 1957 Models will also apply to the 1958 Models. Cars equipped with Air-Poise Suspension may be handled in the same manner as coil spring jobs except as follows:
- Check for clearance when placing a car with deflated springs on the lift as road clearance is at a minimum.
- Never cause the system to become inflated while the car is being suspended on a lift. Inflation of the system will cause the center distance of the lower front spring seats to decrease thereby making them slip or jump out of the lifting pads.
- Make certain that the front lifting pad on the lift does not contact the portion of the front air spring that protrudes down through the lower spring seat.
13-2 EXHAUST EQUIPMENT
The Kent-Moore Monoxo-Flex non-crush Neoprene exhaust hose and tail pipe adapter released for 1957 and all past Models will work satisfactorily on the new 1958 exhaust pipes.
